Marshall Building Maintenance Ltd
The Pound House
This barn was once used to pound apples to make cider and was converted into habitual use a few years ago
The exterior stone work was very damp and was caused by a number of different issues, we had to address all one by one which included redirecting the rain away from the building, renewing the guttering, re pointing all stone work using traditional lime mortar and then applying stone sealer to let the building breathe and stay dry.
New handmade hardwood windows, doors and frames were fitted into altered openings to stop all water seeping in.
Once all the woodwork was decorated and the doors were oiled, the property was completely damp free and would be able to fend off the South Hams weather.
